The Park Avenue Bank's MEET A MUSEUM Exhibition program presents:

Gerardo Rueda:
Constructions 1949 - 1996
February 11 - April 11, 2008

Gerardo Rueda's dedication to architectonic structure is the basis of the works in this exhibition. These constructions are the bedrock of his paintings and monumental sculpture.

Rueda helped design the Museum of Abstract Art in Cuenca as well as the stained glass windows for the cathedral in this medieval royal city. Photographs of Cuenca will accompany this exhibition.

The exhibit is part of a special collaboration between the Queen Sophia Spanish Institute and the Graduate Center of the City University of New Yourk in a comprehensive three part exhibition of the work of Gerardo Rueda, one of Spain's most important artists of the 20th century.
