From the collection of The Farnsworth Art Museum, Rockland, ME, comes this group of paintings from the 1950's by Alex Katz. Never before exhibited in New York, these small captivating images reveal Katz at the very beginning of his artistic career. The show includes figure studies, still lifes and a selection of landscapes made at Katz's summer house in midcoast Maine.
